BleepingComputer.com: Window Media Player 11 Recorded Tv Problem

This is strange - I am running the most current version of Media Player and have recorded Nova for my son. At any rate, I have audio - but no video. I have already turned the acceleration totally off and am using the most recent drivers for the Radeon Mobility 9000 IGP card. This computer is a Toshiba Satellite - I think it's the M series.

It sounds like a simple codec problem, download the codec detective and see if there are any problems http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Sherlo...c_Detective.htm it could be that the video codec has been damaged and needs replacing.

I ran the program and the file said that there were no broken codecs. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Media Player. Is there anything else I am not doing?

What type of file are you trying to play, there is the chance that WMP can't play the file.

Wich file type are we looking at here?WMV?

it is .dvr-ms - and it's not a protected file. This computer does not have Media Center installed, but according to WMP - it plays this file format. I can see the image for the program and all the recording information (a description of the episode, when it was aired, etc.)
