Disallow ordinary member from replying to threads. Create a new group of users with rights to start new threads, reply to threads, and edit own posts for the HTJ forum. If memory serves me correctly there is an invision hack to allow the original thread starter to reply to his own thread.

This way people not in the HTJ team, and not the thread starter will be unable to post. Thus there will be little need for the big blue letters atop posts in that forum.

This gets to be a problem as i would have to deal with moving people into different groups from the normal member group if they want to post a hjt log. Could become a management nightmare

I think you misunderstood. Set the forum rights such that

- any user can create
- no user can reply except
-- HTJ group
-- the thread starter

That way no one (me) could drift in and post replies to extant threads. You would need only rarely add people to the HTJ group.

I asked in a variety of mod forums and where I did receive (crass) responses it was agreed that it could be accomplished with the native controls in the version you are running. Having neither your version or any version of IPB running I cannot help you more specifically.
