I finished building my first PC, and it seems to be up and running all fine. I endded up running out of cash (yea I need to get a Job), so I cant go buy an OS. SO I figured I could just install XP by using my eMachines Restore Disk.

It all installed well, butt, before it boots, I get a Blue Screen
Saying:
Windows has cancelled Boot-Up To protect your Hardware.
Reboot and Try again
If this keeps happening then run CHKDSK /F

(much shorter version of what it said ^)

So I tried running CHKDSK, but, it cant be ran in DOS Mode....HELP Me Please.

I tried Re-Installing it, this time I read the Advanced Error part.

STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF894c640, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Does anyone know that this means?

Also I searched Google for this error and found that 12 other people on the internet have the same error sad.gif , but at least I found out it has nothing to do with the CD I am installing from is a Restore Disk.

I still dont know what to do, the translations of the german and asian sites, wasnt very good, and the English ones, never solved the problem.

HELP!!!, I nEEd IT

I am not sure of any legalities involved but a quick google of the error code only brought up a few results and it seems to be a hardware conflict problem, basically, your oem disk has the wrong drivers for your hardware.. I don't know what to tell you to do but here is what seemed like the two most relevant results I found;

Here is the google page with the rest of the results; Google results
