Here is something to think about.

Why is a hamburger called a hamburger? See ham is pig and beef is cattle.

So it should be called a beef burger.

I know the answer but do you? Its actually got a long old history to it.

Hamburger strictly speaking is beef sausage and this version was created in Hamburg, Germany. The product was named after the place of creation. Just as sandwich was named after the Earl of Sandwich who invented the sandwich.
