Rules: 1. Fill block 5F to 4 before time runs out (or the block for that round you're in) 2. Only the 1st reply to the solution will be used. Read no# 4 3. Reply by copying/pasting your solution in the next thread. 4. Editing of the reply isn't allowed.. So choose carefully. Any edits will cost you an extra minute off the clock. Read no# 2 There are a few phases to this, and you may quit at anytime by replying with the word quit as your reply. Things to know: a. When the Professor is talking to you, it will be in blue. b. Your replies will be in green. c. For each reply you give, it will be 1 minute taking from your time. It will be indicted in the Time: xx minutes left section of the results. The game starts in the next thread. Read below........ ================================================================== After landing on the planet and getting off of your ship and trying not to fall behind, you follow the Professor, going past corridors, doors and rooms packed with state of the art technology. Finally you reach a larger room with control panels and larger windows. The Professor goes up to the panel and turns to you. These sensors show the pressure in all psi-blocks, he says showing you the rectangular displays. These handles regulate the flow of psi-energy. Using them, you can transfer psi-energy quanzors from one block to another. The transfer will only stop when one of the blocks is completely full or completely empty. Looking at your tense expression, he adds: Well, it's just like pouring water. You pour water from a bottle into a glass until the bottle is empty or the glass is full. Is that clear? Yes, sure, you say. Great. Now about psi-blocks. Each of them holds a certain number os psi-energy quanzors. 2F holds 2 quanzors., 3F holds 3 quanzors, 12F holds 12 quanzors, and so on. But enough of this talk. Surely, you have studied all properties of psi-blocks in college. Our first task is to restore the work of the turbines. In order to do that you need to transfer 4 energy quanzors to block 5F. No more, no less, or anything might happen. Now that's what we're going to do. Activating the general psi-energy reservoir...' with two precise ,movements Professor switches on a couple of handles and looks at the displays attentively. "Right! Everything is working. We can now use block 3F, too. But hurry, because in 39 minutes the temperature in the reservoir will get critical and the whole planet may explode! I will be in the next room and monitoring the general status of the station. And you start working. As soon as you have 4 quanzors, press the button of the turbine to activate it. - Get to work. You come up to the control panel and sit in a soft armchair. Just think about it: the fate of a whole planet is now in your hands! You look at the display, trying to evaluate the situation. What do you do now? - Begin in the next post. ================================================================== -------------------- Walkman
