hello,
i've successfully been able to burn an ISO image of Ubuntu on a cd-rw, (which is quite an accomplishment for me
) but when i put it in my computer and restart my computer (windows XP) my computer does not load the drive. i can hear the cd-drive working, and maybe considering booting up from the disk, but it doesn't. i know that i need to change the boot sequence or something like that so that my computer will recognize my CD drives prior to fully loading XP, but i don't know how. could anyone please give me fool-proof direction on how to do this? i'm not totally past the n00b levels of computing yet so simple and explicit directions would be best =D
i'm getting my dad to help me with this, but he's convinced that i am going to ruin the computer just by touching it so i have to make sure that i don't mess up, or he'll never shut up about it >.< he's certain that i'm going to end up overwriting windows XP or blowing up the computer or something like that, and now i'm paranoid that i'll end up doing just that. thanks, dad >.<
