We have noticed that our members have been slipping controversial topics into the general section of the forums. Whether it is an attempt to circumvent mod approval guidelines present in the Speak Easy, or due to a misunderstanding of what the general chat is for, allow me to clarify.
1. The general chat is for light topics only. Any threads that are deemed potentially controversial in nature will simply be deleted without comment, and likely without a PM.
2. The Speak Easy is for controversial topics. Period. We ask that all posts of this type are put there so that we can help keep the topics productive. As such, it is important that we be able to view the topic to make sure that it not offensive in tone, and it is something in which the bulk of our members can participate.
3. Should topics continue to creep into the General Chat that do not belong, we will be forced to set mod approval for topics started in the General Chat. That would be a drag.
