If you uninstall ad-block does the error go away?

Have you tried increasing the size of your swap file (virtual memory)? I have seen on other forums where having too small a swap file caused this problem.

Firefox extension, ad-block. Got the error after installing it and it left after uninstalling the extension.

Well, I'll never forget how fouled up my PC became after trying to uninstall a pop-up blocker by some outfit called "Zillasoft". I'd had Mozilla on the machine a day maybe and I stumbled upon this site that seemed like they had some good add-ons.
Ouch...I ended up re-formating for pete's sake. Have you done any checking in the about:config? All open source Mozilla-based software can be viewed & modified by simply typing in about:config into the browser address field. Hit "go" (or maybe even enter on your keyboard) Anyway, the info you find there is not to be tampered with. Unless you're up on it. But you can see what changes have been made since install. Non-default ones should be in bold-face. -------------------- patiently patrolling, plenty of persisant pests n' problems ...

Must be a buggy extension. I would avoid it for now unless it does not bother you. Prob nohing that we can do about it

Ad-block didnt do much for me and didnt seem to have any application on most of the sites I visit so I simply removed it and have not had any problems since. I have so many anti-spyware, pop-up blockers, anti-mal-aware, anti-adaware apps on this thing that 1 less shouldn't hurt.
