Bah....How can anyone think uncooked fish is good is a mystery to me. Like a fisherman catching the fish and biting into right then and there...yuck!

I do not eat fish, but love sushi. I usually eat the California roll (Crab, Avocado, Mayo, & Cucumbers) or Shrimp Tempura Roll with avocado & cream cheese!
Delicious!! So anyway, I did have sushi for dinner, Shrimp Tempura w/ Avocado (the place I went to didn't have cream cheese  ) and soba salad. If you like Japanese food and haven't tried soba, you have to, it's awesome!

You can make sushi with anything! Fish is just pretty popular, my parents like the sushi with fish eggs and they got my 3-yr old niece eating it too. Yuck!
cowsgonemadd3, you should try making your own at home. All you need is Japanese rice (not the Uncle Ben stuff  ), nori (seeweed wrap), sugar & rice vinegar (to make the rice sweet), and whatever veggies/meats you like to eat. I like hot dog sushi.The Korean sushi is awesome! Better than Japanese imho!

I felt the same exact way as you until I started eating it. You need to start with easy sushi that contains cooked fish so you get used to it. Something like california rolls or even an eel roll (very sweet). Then try something raw like a tuna roll. You move on from there. Trust me if you live fish, it is delicious. -------------------- Lawrence
