Hello sublimedude89

Welcome to Bleeping Computer!

Sorry about the delay. We're all volunteers here, and it's been very busy. If you still need help, please post a new HijackThis log to make sure nothing has changed. Before posting the log, please make sure you follow all the steps found in this topic:

Preparation Guide For Use Before Posting A Hijackthis Log <--link

And I'll be happy to look at it for you.

I also need to see a different type of log from Hijackthis:
  • Run Hijackthis.
  • Click on "Open the Misc Tools section".
  • Next click on "Open uninstall manager".
  • Press the button 'save list'. It will open a Notepad file.
  • Place the content of that file here in your next reply.
Thanks, for your patience.

Stelios

Hi sublimedude89

You may want to print out these instructions or save it as a text document, and use them as a reference. If you have any questions regarding the fix, please ask us before proceeding.
=====

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6
  • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.

    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9

  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.
=====

I see you have Viewpoint installed

Viewpoint Media Player collects information about the user.
From the vendor's privacy policy:
To provide a satisfying consumer experience and to operate effectively,
the Viewpoint Media Player periodically sends information to servers at Viewpoint.

Detected as spyware with some detection programs.
See here:

http://www.greatis.com/appdata/u/v/viewmgr.exe.htm
http://www.spywareinfo.com/newsletter/arch...4.php#viewpoint

Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove

Viewpoint Media Player
=====

The following are optional; however, any time you are running any type of P2P application, you are FAR more prone to infection by malware. At the VERY LEAST, please refrain from using any p2p programs while we are cleaning your computer:--

LimeWire PRO 4.12.3

(A list compiled by Nexus7) of clean and infected P2P programs can be found here <---link

=====

First we'll need to disable Avg's Guard since it may hinder the cleaning process.

Open Avg anti-spyware
*Click Guard
*Click under "resident shield is"
*Change it from active to inactive
Close Avg anti-spyware.
=====

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. Don’t run it yet .
=====

I see you have Avg anti-spyware please update the program, on the main screen select the "Update" icon then click "Start Update". The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed once the update has completed close Avg anti-spyware . Don’t run it yet.

=====

Please Run HijackThis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of the lines listed below, if still present:
