i am having problems with the active x control i go to the windows update website and try to install the active x control to view the site and it keeps bringing the information bar back up saying you need to install active x to view this site but wont let me install it.Another problem im having is i cant install msn messenger, we recently had viruses taken out by future shop and everything working fine prior to that.we have 3 profiles on our windows xp account and i am the admin along with my roommate.I've already tried changing the security settings in internet options but after i do the necessary changes and click apply they go back to the previous setting.can someone help me with this.

Do you use IE? Since firefox does not allow installation of ActiveX components. Can you login at www.webmessenger.com?
