Microsoft, as part of their Windows Vista launch, has created an alternate reality game called the Vanishing Point. On January 8th, 2007 a lightshow was shown in front of the Bellagio in Las Vegas that contained a video of Loki kicking off the contest.

The game revolves around a mysterious character named Loki who will be leaving clues and puzzles around the world, and if you solve them, allows you to enter a sweepsteaks to see the ultimate vista ... from 330,000 feet in the sky. That's right! The grand prize of this game is a trip on the RocketPlane XP which will blast off to reach altitudes in excess of 330,000 feet (100 kilometers) providing the sensation of weightlessness for three to four minutes!

Other prizes consist of laptops, computers, media centers, Zune, XBOX, and copies of Vista Ultimate. If this is something that interests you, then visit the VanishingPoint site listed below and register your account! Also when registering dont forget to use vpoint@bleepingcomputer.com as the email that referred you.

If you want to work on this together, I have created a topic called Vanishing Point in our Windows Vista forum where we can work on the puzzles together. Below I have also included a link to the Vanishing Point wiki which contains a great deal of more information.
