Problem With Install Shield Wizard Not responding

Not sure where to put this topic.
I've been trying to install an mp3 maker on my computer. When it begins to install it locks up. The error message is "An error occured while launching the setup. The remote procedure call failed." I installed another program as a test and the install shield wizard worked fine. So why won't it work with this particular program?? Thanks

It may just be a bad dowload. Try downloading the program again and then reinstall.

This can also occur if you have an older version of the program already installed. Uninstall the old one before installing the new one.

Another thing you can try is rolling back from IE7 to IE6 and then reinstall.

Are you logged in as Administrator while trying to install?

Maybe try installing in safe mode.
