Creating Filemonitor?

Hi, I'm trying to zip multiple files individually without having to click each one. I found a little guide on how to do this, but I don't know how to create a FileMonitor. Here's the page that explains what I want but if someone could help me out on creating a FileMonitor I would appreciate it.
