How Do I Force Ie Windows To Open Full Screen Size?

XP home box, IE7 opens normally, full screen. If I click on a link that opens in a separate window it opens less than full screen, in a "restored down" window that is about 1/4 screen size.
Tried maximizing secondary window and then closing using ALT+(red X close button) and CTRL+(red X close button), and SHIFT +(red X close button).
No joy.
Prolly simple fix or setting change but I am stumped - thanks for any help.

KLick on the blue bar at the top, rightclick change size - change and that should do the trick ;)

Fozzie, I don't have any problem expanding new windows after they open, I want them to open fully expanded in the first place!

After opening klick on F11 . Close IE Now your browser will open in max.

Fozzie, F11 opens the current window to a fullsize that doesn't include the toolbars etc.

A different forum (thanks to SPARKS_ITCS) posted this advice that works well-

With only one instance of the IE 7 browser open, 'restore down' the window by clicking on the symbol of the two rectangles in the upper right hand corner next to the closing X symbol. This should cause your browser to assume the same small size as you have been experiencing as your 'new window' size. Adjust the size of this window to your liking and then maximize it. The 'new window' size should now be new size you have established for the primary window's 'restored down' size.

In addition to that step hughmon, when you have resized the window to the size you want, close the window using the File menu, not the red X. Do that a couple times, and the window will then remember the size you want it to open to.
