Hello,

I am unable to access IE6 on my PC. Everytime I try to access the internet, the browser pulls up for a moment, and then disappears. I am also unable to access Internet Options in the Control Panel, and efforts to restore the system are futile (System Restore also won't open). I suspect Spyware, but I can't access my antivirus program (McAfee), and since I am unable to access the internet, I can't download any other anti-spyware programs or programs such as Hijack this. I would be most grateful for any help.

Do you have access to another computer? If so, download the programs to a disk or flash drive and install them on the infected computer from there.

I will try that. Do you have any suggestions for which programs that are best suited for this problem?

thanx

Download the following from my sig :

AVG Antivirus free including the latest updates
AVG Anti Spyware including the latest updates
Ccleaner latest version.

and put them on a memory stick. Install them and have them scan your computer in this same sequence. Attention : For the time being , on Ccleaner, only run the cleaner and not the registry cleaner
