BleepingComputer.com: Google Video Player

I am on dialup and want to download and save to my computer
a video, I was told about on Google Video.
It says in order to do this I have to download Their Player.

Now my question is if I do this will their player take over or change my
?(file or media associations. )?
I use Windows Media player,
Acer Arcade,
Irfanview,
and run quite a few
Photodex Installer Presentations.
I don't want to download their player if it will mess any of these up.
I know with my old computer ,Windows Media Player worked fine till I downloaded
and started using Real Player and Quicktime.
They took over everything.
Just want to be on the safe side and ask B-4 I end up messing my players up again.
I will not put those on my computer ever again.
I just don't want to add any problems .

You don't need to install the google video player if you don't want to.
When you get to the video you want to watch, on the right hand side of the page, you will see a "Download for" option. Click the drop down arrow and select "Video iPod/Sony PSP". Save the file to disk, it will be in mp4 format. As long as you have the mp4 codecs installed for your player, that's it.

This is one of those copy protected videos that they say you have to be connected to internet and use their player only.
