hi got a problem with either hp doc viewer or windows.i dont know which it is as ive never used it but when i go into a couple of folders on my personal media drive the doc viewer keeps popping up an telling me theres a problem and the file it wants is on a different resource or something.this happens on folders that i go into quite often so is getting really annoying now!!! :thumbsup:

Could you list the applications it is associated with and the exact error message? Also look in the Event Viewer in Administrative Tools (If you are using XP).

hi mate think its to do with msi installer
th error message is "the feature you are trying to use is on a cd-rom or other removable disk that is not available.insert the document viewer disk and click ok"
i dont know what this means as i have no doc viewer disk and i have never used such a program.

i have found out it happens in any folder where there is a vlc media file.this is the program i use to watch most vids so this message is happening alot and starting to get right on my tits!!! :thumbsup:

Have you tried uninstalling the program, and then reinstalling it?
It may have become corrupt.
