whenever i open wmp there's a message saying:

An internal application error has occured.

I've tried reinstalling it didn't help
I've tried installing a lower version and it just says something like: a more recent version of wmp has been installed in your computer, install will now quit.
I've tried rollback but it failed.

Please help me. Now I can't burn any CDs and have to listen to my music using realplayer.

version 11 of wmp is now finalised and available from the MS website but it requires xp with sp2 installed. If you have sp2 installed then wmp 11 may be worth a try.

Hi idk.

You are flirting with disaster by connecting to the net without SP2. This will only install on a clean machine so I would suggest that you go to Windows Live OneCare Scan with IE, click on FullServiceScan in the middle of the page and run a full scan. This will take a couple of hours or so, but follow the prompts and ensure your system is clean. You should then be able to install SP2 which relates to security for your machine. MS will not give you much now until you have it so you should make it a priority.

As suggested, then install the latest WMP 11.

Good luck and cheers
