Active Virus Shield

when i open active virus shield a sign says " ATTENTION: some protection services are not running"
i am having some problems with this virus scanner. should i just delete it and get a new one?

I've never used Active Virus Shield so can't really comment on it, but I think you'll find most people here recommend either AVG or Avast (both have free versions).

Does the notifiation provide an information on what protection services are not running?
