How to turn off autocomplete in the Windows Search Companion

Guide Overview

When you perform a search using the Windows Search Companion, Windows will automatically attempt to autocomplete previous search terms that you used in the past. This guide will turn this feature off so that Windows does not attempt to autocomplete your search words as you type them.

Instructions
  1. When you open Windows Search you will see an option titled Change Preferences. Click on this option.

  2. In the Search Companion Preferences screen, click on the option that is labeled Turn AutoComplete off.
Windows will now no longer autocomplete your search terms.
