I was out of town yesterday and returned this morning to the following problem(s). Problem #1. I have used Kodak EasyShare to download my photo from my camera to my computer. When I attempted to do that this morning I get: EasyShare.ese - Entry Point Not Found This procedure entry point ?CheckForMigrationNeeds@AtlasFactory@@QAEJABVSystem String@@HAAH1@Z could not be located in dynamic link library ATLAS.dll. When I close that window I get: One or More System DLL's could not be loaded. ESApp.dll When I close that window I get: Do you wish to repair" When I click yes, I get the "next" button, when I click on next it shuts down. I have tried unstalling from the Add/Remove and reinstalling from the Kodak disk but same thing keeps happening. I have also tried downloading from their site, same problem. Problem #2. When I opened IE this morning I had no toolbars at all. Nothing. I shut down and did a restore and that has brought them back but was wondering if maybe something hijacked them or something. Any help will be appreciated. While I have "used" computers for a number of years, please remember I DO NOT do "computer" well, so simple instruction is needed. (in other words, don't really understand how they work) Moderator Edit: Moved topic to more appropriate forum. ~ Animal This post has been edited by Animal: Today, 03:02 PM -------------------- FONT=Optima]Redd2 Full Edit Quick Edit Enthusiast Today, 02:37 PM Post #2 Forum Addict Group: Moderator Posts: 5658 Joined: 10-March 05 From: Florida, USA Member No.: 14085 Use the following in-line scan to scan for malware in your system, "clean" your registry and generally "tune-up" your Windows XP installation. Windows One Care Free Scan Go to Windows Live Onecare Free Scan (using Windows Explorer only) It will say "Get a free PC safety scan" http://safety.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm Make sure you click "Full Service Scan" in the middle of the page and not the "Try It Now Free" on the right side. Allow it to download the Active X components. Choose "Complete Scan" in the window that opens Click "Next" Do not click on anything else that offers you a free trial or to sign up if you live in the US. Allow it to scan - it may take quite, maybe two hours or so depending on how big your hard drive is and how fragmented your registry and drive are. Hello redd2 and Welcome to BleepingComputer.
Glad the restore cleared up the toolbar problem. I do not see an anti-virus application installed. It is very important that you have an anti-virus applications installed. Please install one and run a scan. See this link for a listing of some online & their stand-alone antivirus programs: Virus, Spyware, and Malware Protection and Removal Resources Update your AntiVirus Software - It is imperative that you update your Antivirus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish). If you do not update your antivirus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out. For your Easyshare problem please try the following please: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jht..._requestid=6901 If you experienced the error condition while updating your EasyShare software from a previous version or while installing EasyShare software, do the following:
You have SpywareGuard installed. While this is a great program, we need to temporarily disable (not uninstall) the program because it might stop our fix.
Disable Microsoft Windows Defender: We need to disable your Microsoft Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Updating Java

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis. Post (reply) with a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look. Please let me know if the above helped with your Easyshare problem. Here is my new log. Still cannot get the EasyShare program to load/work properly. Still telling me I am missing something. Kodak Easyshare has suggested I call their help line so they can talk me through the problem.
Another question. When I download an updated verison of something should I be removing the older verison? Like with the Java update. If realplayer says a new verison is available, should I remove the old one if I update? I seem to keep losing my antivirus software. I have once again download Windows AntiVirus. So I guess I will have to wait and see it it sticks this time. It is 12:30am Arizona time, I will be going out of town and will return on Saturday afternoon. So I won't be checking back until then. Thank you for your help so far and have a safe and happy Thanksginvg.
