Hello....this is sort of a computer question. My husband recently started driving charter buses. Although the charter company gives them "general" information about the destination, their maping capabilites leaves a LOT to be desired. Hence, I'm generally jumping into mapquest to download maps for him, but even that is limited.
I would like to get him a GPS for Christmas, but the problem is; the charters are school buses!! NO CIGARETTE LIGHTER OUTLETS!!! I thought I'd found the perfect unit in the Magellan Roadmate 2000 which says the unit can run for up to 3 hours on the battery until I read a reveiw that says "99% of the time, the unit will be plugged into the car outlet" :flowers:
I figured if I was going to ask for good information, I'd go to the best...so here I am. :trumpet:
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions. I'm trying very hard to stay UNDER $500.00.
Thanks to all of you.
KMF
