I am having a problem with my Windows Media Player. I wanted to make a mix copy of all my cds for my car, but it now tells me when I click the burn deal, that No CD or DVD Burner has been detected. Please push F5 to refresh. I did but it still doestn' detect it. It worked before but last week I just noticed this. I did have some viruses but they have been taken out and maybe htey affected it, I'm not really sure. Does anyone know anythign about this? Am I in the right place with this question? I wasnt sure whre to post this.

Check your Device Manager for any red x's or yellow !'s (Go to Start...Run...and type in "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter)

If you find any, you'll have to update the drivers for those devices (most likely this will be a problem with your motherboard/chipset drivers)

But, there's plenty of other reason for this to happen, so it may take a bit until we find the exact solution.

I tried copying on my Roxio Easy Creator and that worked last week, I tried my real player one, that burned a couple of them. so they work its just my windows Media Player, I checked my Device Manager, but I didn't see any red x's or yellow !'s by the driver.
