Hi everyone. This is my first post.
Let me first say that this forum is great, I found a lot of solutions to my computer problems just browsing through the site and tutorials are really of help for people like me who are not experts but love to understand how this bleeping thing works.
I am not a native english speaker so don't mind if i make a few mistakes. I hope to be clear.
I run win xp professional edition.
I used norton disk doctor to check my boot disk. The program found some errors so it planned a check the next time the computer restarted.
I run again disk doctor to check if errors were fixed but the program asked for a new check the next time the computer restarts becouse it found some other problems. The process kept going so I run chdsk /f/r. This utility did not find errors or it was able to fix the errors.
Why disk doctor keep going in reporting errors?. Are they real? Do I have to trust the microsoft chkdsk and disregard norton disk doctor'warnings?
Help me solve the dilemma.
