BleepingComputer.com: Crazy Boot Mode

my friends pc when started and pass word entered , goes into like command prompt at first it showed
C:/ TShoot SET BLASTER =A220 I5 D1 T4. so i went into msconfig made sure i clicked advanced and checked the : show start list " box to in sure i could access safe mode upon reboot as i couldnt at first when i tried ....... In autoexecus theres 3 eentrys
@if. exist C;/ winins T0.400/suwarn.bat call C:/ WININSST0.400/suwarn
@if. exist C;/ winins T0.400/suwarn.bat del C:/ WININSST0.400/suwarn
and the SET BLASTER entry above.all 3 box s for those were checked upon reboot i coudnt get into safe mode and the C;/TShoot appeared follwed by the 3 autoexecu above and then of course they were followed by the C;/ prompt ive tried every soultion for other issues like thins from other posts with no help any suggestions would be appreciated

If you don't mind, what was the fix?

repair instalation was the fix i beleive it was the boot record but am not sure
