On the Computeractive magazine website I came across the above mentioned Driver Genius Professional 5.3 free download. I read a bit about it and thought it might be worth installing although to be honest I think all my drivers are up to date.

I would appreciate you guys 'n gals views on this programme and if there are any drawbacks to installing it?.

Again thanks in advance.
BJr.

Hi bluesjunior.
IMHO, Garbage.
The "latest and greatest" drivers can sometimes cause the latest and greatest "problems".
You should only upgrade drivers to address a specific issue you are having. If it ain't broke, don't break it.
I also see no reason to install 3rd party software to do something you can do yourself if needed.
I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole. :flowers:

Thanks for that HitSquad,
I had a feeling that would be the case so I will take your advice and leave it alone.

I agree with HitSquad - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

That being said, I do subscribe to http://www.versiontracker.com/ because of it's customizable notification format.
