Ok, I am trying to uninstall Vista and I am having many problems. What I have done so far is run FDISK and delete my old partition. I then recreated it and formatted it. Now, when I put in the XP disc, it keeps saying that I don't have a hard drive, even though I do and it works fine.

Please help if at all possible.

Is this the only drive? If not, have you deleted the Boot folder and the files bootmgr and bootsect.BAK from your boot drive? (they may require some contortions to get rid of)

I have no idea how I would erase those when I can only use FDISK.

Presuming that you only have 1 hard drive (and that it is the one that you've Fdisk'd)

Do you have a SATA drive and have you loaded the drivers for it (from a floppy) by pressing F6? There'll be a message for this that appears on the bottom of the screen as XP Setup is starting - it'll refer to RAID/SCSI drivers also.
