Yes, because you know Vista's gonna be forced upon us, seems they do that with every operating system they've brought out past 95/98. and this one's really expensive...

More like the last two weeks in Jan. M$ wants the big OEMs to roll out around the 31st but some always leak out.

No, I don't have Vista. I've tried Vista Beta 2 and didn't like it at all. It's just a spiced up version of Windows XP.

I have 5 different builds, including RTM lots of eye candy, nothing special, just the same old XP, repackaged.

needs a lot more ram I would recommend minimum 2 gig to run effectively, the machine that I have loaded it on is an emachine with 1 gig ram, and it is immediately using the swap file, even with missing drivers.

Old rule of thumb take M$ recommended minimum and multiply by four 512 x4 = 2 gig

I think I wait until SP 1 is released!!

I'm lucky if I can get XP to do what I want, and I'd rather spend money on games, so no, I don't have Vista

i want to keep WinXP for 10 more years...but they are only making DX10 for Vista thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

----------------------------------------
>>>from my first and only look<<<
----------------------------------------
THINGS I HATE ABOUT VISTA:

1. all the new things look like spyware

2. IE7 sucks...wont delete all cookies...bad buttons and layout (i was happy with IE6 and its problems)

3. i dont need parental controls

4. it look like they are trying to make it look like Mac OSX (i went with windows due to the fact that its not a apple)

5. i bet i cant make it look like WinXP (color maybe, buttons and layout hell no)

6. i want speed not slow me down eye candy trash

---------------------------------------

if i can do these things i will be happy:

1. uninstall all the crap i dont need

2. go back to IE6

3. make it look and act like WinXP but with Vista colors (black is cool)

4. have the Win98 start menu
