Hello everyone, I have spent several hours trying to find a solution to this problem I have recently purchased a new ipod 2G nano only to find that ipods are only supported for windows xp. I went looking to the internet for a work-around.
I found....

and
http://www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/sup...sist.php?c=9899
however, I'm having trouble with those drivers. for what ever reason my computer says that they aren't the right drivers...............gah! does anyone here know of a reason why this might be happening, or something I could do to try to force it to try to use the driver.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is occurring because the drivers are probably not registered with and tested by Microsoft.
It has been a few years since I worked with W98 but if you go to the main help area (start/help) and type in "drivers" it will probably tell you how to force a driver to load.
Be aware that installing a driver that has not been certified by Microsoft can have unexpected results.
