Hi ... My understanding is with Vista we are only allow to transfer this operating system to another computer once ? If this is the case ? Then I feel Microsoft is screwing the consumers , I don't believe I will be buying Vista , You would have to be nuts to buy Vista under those conditions

As I recall, these are essentially the same restrictions that are placed on XP.

If you're looking for people to give you free stuff - don't rely on a commercial company. Instead I'd suggest that you switch to Linux or another Open Source operating system.

No bud , That is not the case with a retail xp version , There is no limit to xp , read xp eula closely

I have read the EULA's for both products closely. Also, I have had the opportunity to discuss this at Microsoft in June of this year.

I'm still hearing that it's on for release to OEM's in November (I've heard January for everyone else). There are a few rumblings about a delay - but MS has just released IE7 and WMP11. DX10 is due out in November - so it won't be much longer IMO.

But, when push comes to shove, all of this is just rumor - we won't know until there's an official announcement made.
