I have A D-link wireless router, it seems I'm waiting for it to catch up? I've been wondering about wireless N router, my conection speed is 54Mbps. I'm not sure if it would do me any good to up grade to this,also would I have to get a new card for my lap top thank you for any help michael49er |

You're probably going to have to get a new wireless card simply because the IEEE hasn't yet agreed on the standard for the -n networks. Since there is no standard ratified, I would wait for the OEMs to get it all straightened out first. As of right now, if your -n card won't connect to an -n network, you're S.O.L.

Don't get the N stuff yet, true N won't be out until maybe 2008. The stuff you see now is based on the first draft and has a bucket load of problems.

Hi thank you for the info regarding N does any one have an opion about a better wire less router?
I think this D-link is causeing me to have to reboot about every other day otherwise everything seems to slow way down any preferances Thank You Michael |

I haven't used the DLink, but others I know will swear by them. I prefer the NetGear myself - having had problems LinkSys in the past.
