MVPs are people with deep knowledge of Microsoft products who volunteer to answer technical questions for other users or contribute to its software in significant ways. It's a prestigious recognition, with only about 2,600 MVPs worldwide.

Microsoft recently added Cyril Paciullo to its MVP list. He's the developer of Messenger Plus...But security experts say his software is also a distribution vehicle for Lop...

Edit: After reading some postings at SWI about this it seems MS has been flooded with emails from Security MVPs and they may reconsider the award.

As for my own MVP Status, my first knee jerk reaction is telling me to tell MS to shove it. My second knee jerk reaction is jumping ship is basically giving the boobs of the world a green-light to hijack the program. My third knee-jerk reaction is not to have both knee jerk reactions at once, or I might fall over

 :flowers:

Give 'em heck Paperghost!
There is serious stuff there too of course. But I have to admit I got a big kick out of that part.

From Grinler's blog, which I missed as well, I love this line and the screen shot

What is funny is when Microsoft Security MVP Derek Knight scanned the main executable for Messenger Plus, at the free scanning site VirusTotal, Microsoft was the only vendor that stated that the installer was a threat.

One hand soesn't know what the other is doing

Right hand, meet left hand. Left hand, right hand.

I get the feeling it is a common problem in Microsoft.
