alright guys,

any help with this? I am getting Ultimate defender starting up a pop up when I connect to the internet, I have got rid of everything I think but this is on my startup and it isnt on the database. Could someone have a look, cheers

thanks for anyhelp, can I delete this using Hijackthis?

I have read your post and I think it would be wise for you to post a HijackThis log for an expert to review.
I recommend you follow the HijackThis preparation guide which can be found here. It is important that you follow the guide closely. A number of scans will be run which may well fix your problem. As the guide says, after you have completed the scans that are recommended, please post your HijackThis log in a new topic in the forum found here. Please add your system infomation and also what problems you are having.
Please be patient, and a HJT team member will help you to clean up your system.

This is almost 99% a malware file. If you do not mind submitting the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\dssmesn.dll to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php so I can take a look at it.

Then follow D-Trojanators suggestions and post a hijackthis log for someone to take a look at it. Once I receive the file I will post back here stating what malware it is.
