Hi, I'm running into problems with my computer, Internet Explorer and Azureus keep freezing up whenever I open them, Internet Exlorer runs for a little bit, but then freezes and is forced to close. Azureus runs, then opens, then is also forced to close. How can I fix them?

First off welcome to BC.

Have you run scans for infections?

Yep, I have, I almost think it was something I was removing that shouldnt have been removed a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure what it was, and I can't even use system restore (for some reason it wont work either) anymore to go back to that point.

First, I'd suggest running the free scan here: http://safety.live.com/

Then I'd suggest uninstalling the Azerus software and reinstalling it.

If that doesn't fix it, we can try to repair IE or XP.

If you've got SP2 installed - the repair is to uninstall SP2 and then reinstall it (and go through the updating process all over again - it was around 50 updates the last time that I tried it).

Alright, this won't require the install CD to repair, will it? I don't really wanna have to dig it up, I'm not sure where it is (or if we even have it). BTW, how do I remove SP2? It's not under Add/Remove Programs
