Dumping Pc-cillin For Avg Free

Hey ya'll,

I'm getting annoyed be PC-Cillins behavior, and supports avoidance of the problem :thumbsup: ...anyway...

I want to run AVG Free for AV, but I'm not sure which firewall would be the best to run with it...
I know this has been posted before, and have read many of them, but would still like some input here, if you don't mind. There are so many, and all seem to be a little different.... :flowers:

What do YOU prefer and why?
XP Pro/SP3, P4/2.80, DDR2/4G -- Firefox / Thunderbird
AVG8 Free, Sygate Firewall, SpywareBlaster, Comodo BOClean, MBAM, Asquared, RegCleaner, Everest Home.

You are right, there are many very good firewalls, and none of them, at least to my knowledge, will interfere with AVG's functioning---if permissions are properly figured.
My own preference is Sygate Personal Firewall, which I have used for several years (along with AVG). I prefer it because you can manage by application, and it produces several useful on-line logs as well as a backtrace and "whois" function for tracing sources of unwanted packets.

Sygate...tried it....liked it :thumbsup:

Tested with ShieldsUp...ALL GREEN :flowers:

I haven't changed anything yet. Are there any particular settings that you would recommend?
