Please Help! Installation Problems

Hi All,

Recently I downloaded Vista and have burnt the iso to a dvd disc. When I put the disc into my computer comand prompt flashes up for a second and nothing happens? Please help!

That is why they call it BETA.
There is no guarantee that it is going to work!
In the beginning there was the command line.

No. It is called Beta as that is the name of Microsofts new software range.

Several things come to mind:

1) Not to appear condescending, but did you burn the iso or did you just copy it to the DVD?

2) Have you tried to execute the installation from within Windows by going to the DVD drive in Windows Explorer and double click on the SETUP.EXE file there?

3) Have you tried to boot from the DVD by setting your DVD drive as the boot device?

If all these things have been done (and you're not having a hardware malfunction), then I'd suspect that your DVD is corrupted. I'd suggest re-downloading the iso file and re-burning it to a DVD.

All fixed. Just needed to download the 32 bit version.
