wow... this password, is it the one that you need to enter so the machine would boot? or is it in DOS? tandy 1000, is this the dos box, based on 386sx 20mhz? i had the same machine... never set the password on it though... if it is the one needed to boot the machine, you can just pull the CMOS battery from the machine and it will forget the password. (the battery is one or two 3 volt lithium batteries directly on the motherboard, held there with a *very* fragile clip). otherwise you might have to try booting from a dos floppy and editing your config.sys or autoexec.bat to remove the reference to the program that is asking for the password. hope this helps --rex -------------------- "Any technology, no matter how primitive, is magic to those who don't understand it."
