I have a Tandy 1000, with MS-DOS and haven't been on the computer in years. I found it and tried to boot the system, and I can't remember the password.

It anyone can help me on changing the password so that I can play some of the old games, that would be great.

Thanks

Steve

wow... this password, is it the one that you need to enter so
the machine would boot? or is it in DOS?

tandy 1000, is this the dos box, based on 386sx 20mhz?
i had the same machine... never set the password on it though...

if it is the one needed to boot the machine, you can just
pull the CMOS battery from the machine and it will forget the
password. (the battery is one or two 3 volt lithium batteries
directly on the motherboard, held there with a *very* fragile
clip).

otherwise you might have to try booting from a dos floppy
and editing your config.sys or autoexec.bat to remove the
reference to the program that is asking for the password.

hope this helps
