QUOTE Toshiba has become the latest company to recall faulty laptop batteries. Some 340,000 products are affected by the recall. pcadvisor.co.uk
The batteries in question are made by Sony...there is no risk of the faulty batteries causing a fire, says Toshiba...The problem with the batteries is that in 'rare' instances, they could suddenly lose all their power... -------------------- "THE BAD GUYS DON'T NEED A SEARCH WARRANT. I bought a replacement battery for my Toshiba laptop about a month ago from Laptopsforless.com and it works great. Is there any reason to think that a replacement laptop battery would be any worse than the manufacturers? Are there any fire risks?

QUOTE AP - SEP. 29 1:44 P.M. ET The Japanese electronics maker Toshiba Corp. said Friday that it is recalling 830,000 batteries made by Sony for its laptop computers while personal computer maker Dell Inc. expanded its recall of Sony battery packs by 100,000. The batteries can short-circuit and have been blamed for causing some computers to catch fire. Complete article at Business Week Online I remember just a couple of decades ago when the LI batteries would explode first and then catch fire. I hated having to sit next to radio equiptment that contained them. -------------------- Find a path?
