Welcome to Bleeping Computer, a free community where people like yourself come together to discuss and learn how to use their computers. Using the site is easy and fun. As a guest, you can browse and view the various discussions in the forums, but can not create a new topic or reply to an existing one unless you are logged in. Other benefits of registering an account are subscribing to topics and forums, creating a blog, and having no ads shown anywhere on the site.| Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about. The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information. The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here. These are both amazing contests and I suggest everyone submit an entry for them. - BleepingComputer Management |

How To Allow/Allow for Session/Block Cookies In Firefox Guide Overview (This tutorial addresses versions of Firefox prior to version 2.0.) The purpose of this guide, is to teach you how to set Firefox to Allow, Allow for Session, or Block, cookies from specific websites. As you may already know, some sites require cookies for the site to work properly. Some sites use cookies for remembering passwords, login names, etc., like Bleeping Computer. I'm going to show you how to set Firefox to remember these sites, and allow them to set cookies on your computer. Some sites want to set cookies which could be potentially dangerous, but definitely unwanted, such as tracking cookies, or cookies that contain personally identifiable information that you entered at the site, like E-mail addresses, home addresses, telephone numbers, etc. I'm going to show you how to block these sites, from setting cookies. Instructions
If you mistakenly clicked the wrong button, or later, change your mind about whether to Allow, or Block a site, click on the URL in the Site column, and then click the Remove Site button. This post has been edited by tg1911: Nov 4 2006, 04:33 PM -------------------- I love being married.
It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy, for the rest of your life. |
