Someone Please Help This Is Very Annoying!

Someone Please Help This Is Very Annoying!, Windows Defender repeating the same update

New Member Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 5-September 06 Member No.: 83,791	OK so the updates for windows popped up on my compuer for a definition update for windows defender, so i install the update and it says the update has been installed and the yellow shield icon in the bottom goes away, about 30 seconds later it comes back and asks me to install the update again and it just keeps doing that every time. A problem caused Windows Defender Service to stop. To start the service, restart your computer or search Help and Support on how to start a service manually."
