I was installing a game and it wouldn't install completely because it said there was a music error. It said 'cyclic redundancy error'. What does that mean and how can I fix it?

I had the same issue with my copy.
Use a torrent site and download and ISO Image for the disk that is giving the error.
I believe you are speaking of "Sims 2" (Disk 4). After you find the file and burn it to a disk put it in in place of the disk giving you the error . It should load up without any more problems.
