i have a radeon 9250 pci 256 mb
and i tried to run bf2 and all my graphics setting got messed up.
it siad my accelerator failed and had to restart
my friend ahs the same video card as me the radeon 9250 pci and it does the same thing to him
but his dad has the same card but in AGP
and bf2 runs fine with that
is it that bf2 wont run with pci?
im about to upgrade to a geforce 6200 PCI 256 mb will it work with that even though its pci?

Maybe it is that series of card with it?

I found This when I searched PCI, could this be your problem? If so, it looks like you'll just have to upgrade your video card.

Quote

"Note that if you have a ATI Radeon 9200 PCI card (this does not apply to AGP or PCI Express cards), you may experience this issue even after updating your drivers. Although this card meets the memory requirements for running the game, when tested it was not able to run the game with a stability adequate enough to make the official supported video card list in the Readme for the game. Updating your video card drivers as well as your motherboard firmware may help to resolve this issue. Please refer to your video card manufacturer for further instruction."

I pulled up the minimum specs just incase.

The problem with PCI slots is that they have a very limited bandwidth which causes problems for games trying to transfer textures and stuff to the graphics cards memory. PCI has 133MB/s while PCIe x16 (what most cards use nowadays) has 4000MB/s.
