Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about.

The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information.

The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here.

These are both amazing contests and I suggest everyone submit an entry for them.

I am running Windows XP Media Edition on my First new computer, for security I have installed the following...

ewido V4 ( Paid )
Ad-Aware SE Personal
AVG Free
Spybot - Search & Destroy
SpywareBlaster
CCleaner V1.32.345
SpywareGuard V2.2
ZoneAlarm V. 61.744.001

in the last few weeks I seem to be getting more and more items found when scanning , I would to ask if the security items ive installed are a good combernation..?

ewiod , seems to fine the most items but also misses some that are found with the other applications , I am thinking that if ewido is not finding every thing ,and the other applications.. ( some times ) .. find items , then could the rest of the other applications be missing some items as well ..? and I don't get to see just whats managed to invade my computer

So is there any thing I could add and install that would may be cover more ' Find ' options , Ive tried to run Trend House call
on line Scanner but due to the poor download speeds ( Dialup ) here in Thailand it takes over Two Hours even before the scan can start
the scanning ( which ive never managed to do yet ) ,

can any forum members possibily recommend extra security that I could use ( Free ) if possibel along with an on line scanner ( with remove option ) that I could use with my poor download speed..?

Thanks ............ Mypenry

You seem to have all the necessary security applications installed. What precisely is being found and by which applications?
Regards,
John
