Esellerate: Ewebclient.dll What is this?

I'm not sure if I've posted this in the right spot, but none of the forums really seemed to fit my question this time. :thumbsup:

I was scrolling through the folders in my program files on the hard disk, went into common files and discovered a folder titled "eSellerate" Properties says that it was put there July 18, 2006. Inside this folder is another folder titled "dlls"
Inside that folder is this file: eWebClient.dll

What is this? Is it related to PayPal or Ebay? I know it's not related to on-line security scans as I didn't do any of those until later in the month. Is it something I can safely get rid of? :flowers:

eSellerate, is a web commerce application like PayPal. You may have inadvertently clicked a link that has placed an app for the eCommerce client. Unless you are absolutely sure that you do not have something on your machine thats needs it, I would think it's okay to remove. However if you scan it with your malware tools and it comes up clean, it might not be a bad thing to leave alone if you do not know what it's associated with. Just a thought.

Aha! When I was sorting my e-mail last night, I found out last night how esellerate got on my computer. I purchased Ultimate TroubleShooter which used eSellerate to handle the transaction. Since this it the case, I think it's okay to delete it.

Had the same problem.....evidently it gets posted by either PayPal and / or Bill Me Later without out permission as part of a transaction. I shall find out when I try to do my next BillMeLater transaction...:>)
