Please let us know the make and model of your system (or, if it's custom built - the make and model of your motherboard).
Also please let us know how many beeps and if they're long or short (or if they're all the same length). I'd suspect that it's either bad RAM (due to static discharge) or that something isn't plugged in correctly and may need to be reseated. Whenever going into the case of your system you must unplug the system from the wall and you must ground yourself by (at a minimum) holding onto the metal of the case. I know this from experience, having lost 2 sets of RAM by forgetting to do this! -------------------- - John

You'll have to go look up the model number for us so that we can be sure we're looking at the right BIOS (which affects the beeps).
But, the beeping that you describe sounds like the RAM is fried, or it isn't plugged all the way in. Did you unplug the system from the wall before opening it - and did you ground yourself on the metal chassis while adding/removing the RAM? -------------------- - John
