External Hard Drive (letter)

You know when you plug in an external hard drive to another computer (other than the one you ussually use) it might read the driver letter as a different letter than what your use to (C:, E:, F:, ect)? Well, is there a way you can make your external hard drive always read as the same letter?... No matter what computer it's connected to. Maybe some off letter like J: or Z:.

Yes, but you've got to go to each computer and set each one individually.

I suspect that someone familiar with scripting could write a script that would autorun and set this on systems - but what would it do when you hit a system that already had this setting on it? There's generally only 20 or so choices available - so eventually you'd stumble upon someone who used the same drive letter for another purpose.
