Just wondering whether a PCI graphics card will still function normally in the PCI slot on the motherboard even if the motherboard has a PCI Express slot too which is supposedly meant to be used for a graphics card? Thanks |

Yes. In that regaurd it's no different then using a pci video card and leaving an agp slot empty.
Check default video options in the bios before doing so though. Recycling an old card? |

Thanks, i'll check the bios as soon as I get the computer to work at all. I am using an old card yea and I was actually hoping that this was the problem as at least I would know I just needed to buy a new card.
