I have started using utorrent few days ago, and it is a good program, however I had one torrent that I wanted to download but it has no seeds at all and only 2 peers, my downloading speed was "25b/s", which was incredibly slow, comparing to my average download speed is 48kb/s, a huge difference.

are there any ways to download the torrent abit faster?

apart from that, utorrent is a good program for downloading torrents, believe me, I've compared it to Bitcomet, Bittorrent and Azureus, from dowload speed to the easiest to use.

I need help!!

If it is anything like any other p2p application (if I am understanding your problem), the peers set the upload speed, and has nothing to do with you at all. If it is really a program that you need, then you will just have to wait for it.

Simple Answer is No.

You get what your given.
What you gottta remember is in my book there are THREE types of peer
  1. The Seeder until nobody wants it thumbup2.gif Who wants to Up his ratio
  2. The Solo thumbup.gif
  3. The Grabber aka Leech thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
1. Now the seeder is a good sort they'll seed ANYTHING just to get thier ratio up, only problem is if they seed 30 files on a 256 upload that means each file is getting a % (Not gonna try figure it wink.gif )

2. The Solo there the best they'll get one file and once they have it will seed JUST that file on a 256 up better speed for you donloading it off 25 of them w00t.gif

3. The Grabber ranting2.gif censored2.gif nono.gif

Having said that some torrent apps Do adjust your download according to the speed your upload i downloaded a patch once and when i restricted my upload the download slowed.

Are you behind a firewall or router. I know that if you have a router you can try forwarding a few ports... Go to Options>Speed Guide

BTW where do you guys get your torrents from I have been having a hard time finding a good site.

It sounds like you are indeed behind a network router. You need to open up some ports to get more peers, which may get you faster download speeds. Almost everything you need to know is here:

http://www.portforward.com/

Its a lot of reading, but by the time you are done, you will be an expert!!! lmfao.gif

Klinkaroo, you can just google "torrents" and get a whole bunch of sites...be warned, though...a lot of those torrent sites offer bootlegged content...you'll be up to your armpits in it. hysterical.gif

Kilngaroo WWW.TORRENTSPY.COM is a really good site that offers good and health and seeded and peered seeds. To the original post, unloaded, try using different programs IE LIMEWIRE,BEARSHARE to get your desired video/mp3 file/etc.

are there any patches that can disable the restrictions on downloading while uploading? Because when I use Utorrent, the download can slowdown according to my uploading speed sometimes.

Please be aware that a lot of these tools bring adware / spyware with them...
