Download Problem Msn Premium Verizon Fios

I resently had Verizon Fios installed in my home. I have Windows ME on my computer. I tried to download the MSN premium package offered. When I tried to download the package the installation wizard couldn't load the components. It would give a statement that "a required component could not be installed (-2) MSN support files". On the support files it would state "The authenticity of the download could not be validated". I had three different Verizon tech reps help me with no success. The last one said that it was a problem with my computer, either Internet Explorer or Windows ME. He said to reinstall the Explorer and if that didn't fix it to try to do the same with ME. Has anyone had this problem or know how I can correct it??
Have a great day,

Verizons' tech support isn't the best, try to see if you can get hold of one of their techs to help you, not their "support techs".
I have nothing nice to say about Verizon, with the level of ineptitude that I've experienced with them, I'm supprised that they stay in business.

dc3,
What is the difference between a support tech and the other techs?? Are you talking about the Verizon or MSN reps?? And how would I get in contact with a regular tech rep??
Thank you for your help,

That was poor wording on my part, I should have made the distiction between customer support and tech support. The customer support are the guys that you usually get when you call your ISP for help. Some ISPs will allow you to talk to one of their technicians who have full understanding of the system and how to trouble shoot your problem.
The ISP is your Internet Service Provider, so if Verizon is who you pay to get on line, then they are your ISP.
I personally don't like MNS, if you have the proper protection you can use any browser out there without having to worry, for the most part anyway. I use Firefox as my browser, and have AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-awre, Ccleaner, Ewido Security Suite, and Sygate. These are all freewares and can be downloaded on line.
